Description:
We designed this itinerary with families with teenagers in mind who don't want to be mere spectators, but protagonists of their own adventure. In a world dominated by digital, Galapagos offers what is now a luxury: real connection through shared physical effort, the satisfaction of conquering new environments, and the adrenaline of the wild.
This tour is designed for constant and varied adventure. From navigating alongside sea lions to walking the rim of an active volcano or breathing underwater for the first time, each experience invites young people to put aside screens and immerse themselves in nature.
It's an opportunity to overcome challenges as a team and enjoy the freedom that only these islands can offer.
Itinerary:
DAY 1 · Arrival in San Cristóbal
Your adventure begins in San Cristóbal; after a local lunch, we jump straight into the water. There's no better way to shake off travel fatigue than kayaking in the bay. It's a physical and fun activity that allows for the first contact with sea lions, the true hosts of the island. These animals, as curious as teenagers, often approach to inspect their new visitors.
The evening is free; the town is safe and small, ideal for the kids to explore on their own or choose where to dine together by the pier.
DAY 2 · San Cristóbal - The Open Sea Challenge
Today the adventure level rises. We sail to Kicker Rock (Leon Dormido), an impressive volcanic formation in the middle of the ocean.
It's the perfect setting to observe Galapagos sharks, rays, and turtles in their purest state. For teenagers, it's an adrenaline rush; for parents, the peace of mind of exploring an iconic site guided by experts.
We end the day relaxing on a white sand beach to recharge before returning to port.

Highlights:
DAY 3 · San Cristóbal - Unlocking New Skills
The morning is for learning something new: snorkeling in Tijeretas Bay. Feeling the autonomy of breathing underwater for the first time is an incredible confidence-building experience for young people. In the afternoon, we swap water for wheels: we take bikes to La Lobería, on an easy but very active route that crosses unique landscapes.
The final walk to the cliff will take them to a bird sanctuary; along the way, they can observe marine iguanas, swallow-tailed gulls, frigates, petrels, and the famous blue-footed boobies.
On the way back, those who wish can do one last snorkeling in the bay to look for Pacific green turtles. It's a day of constant movement and relentless visual variety.
DAY 4 · San Cristóbal / Isabela - Change of Perspective
We change scenery with a small plane flight to Isabela. Seeing the islands from the air allows one to grasp the archipelago's geography in a way that a boat does not. After landing on the youngest island of Galapagos, the pace becomes more relaxed, giving them time to feel the local vibe.
In the afternoon, we go Paddle Boarding or kayaking in Puerto Villamil Bay. It's an activity of balance and calm where it's very common to encounter small Galapagos penguins and observe sea lions resting in the sun on the lava rocks.
DAY 5 · Isabela - Conquering Sierra Negra Volcano
This is the most physical day and, possibly, the most memorable of the trip. We will hike 16 km towards the Sierra Negra volcano, a journey that allows us to explore landscapes that seem otherworldly until we reach the rim of one of the world's largest active craters.
More than an excursion, it's a shared challenge that tests our endurance. The reward is a visual immensity that no screen can replicate.
DAY 6 · Isabela - The Lava Labyrinths of Cabo Rosa
In Los Túneles (Cabo Rosa), nature reveals itself as a fantastic architect: lava and the sea have created natural bridges and arches emerging from the ocean. It is, probably, the best place on the trip for snorkeling.
Swimming through these channels of crystal-clear, calm water is like entering an infinite aquarium, allowing you to closely observe seahorses, reef sharks, and turtles. It's a visually stunning experience that closes the Isabela chapter on a high note.
DAY 7 · Isabela / Santa Cruz: Encounter with Giants and Final Descent
An early morning boat trip takes them to Santa Cruz. Here, the contrast is immediate: from volcanic landscapes, we move to the lush green of the highlands to encounter giant tortoises. Seeing them in their natural habitat is impressive due to their size and longevity.
Afterward, a final bike descent to El Garrapatero beach will allow them to feel the wind on their faces one last time.
As the sun sets, Puerto Ayora pier offers a final spectacle: young sharks and rays swimming under the lights, a reminder that life in Galapagos never rests.
DAY 8 · The Journey Home
Before departing, there's a small space for nostalgia. A walk through the Charles Darwin Station or a final stroll through the town to find that souvenir to take home.
The journey to the Itabaca channel is the moment to look out the window and mentally review the challenges overcome and the laughter shared. They leave the islands behind, but they take with them the certainty that the world is much bigger and more amazing than they imagined.
