General Conditions of Use (CGU)

1. Object

These General Conditions regulate the use of the website www.galasky.com.ec, as well as the contracting of tourist services offered by Galasky, including day tours, personalized packages, equipment rental, and experiences in Galápagos and mainland Ecuador. Use of the site implies full acceptance of these conditions.

2. Reservations and Payment Methods

• A reservation is considered effective only after confirmation by the Galasky team and payment of the deposit or the total service cost, as agreed.

• In general, a 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation, and full payment must be completed at least 30 days before the start of the service.

• For cruises or tours with external operators, full payment may be required up to 60 days in advance.

• Reservations made less than 30 days in advance require full payment at the time of confirmation.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancellations more than 60 days in advance: 80% refund.

• Cancellations between 59 and 30 days before the service: 50% refund.

• Cancellations between 29 and 0 days: no refund.

• No refunds will be made for missed flights, airline delays, or other causes beyond Galasky’s control.

• It is recommended to purchase travel insurance with cancellation coverage for any reason.

4. Responsibility

• Galasky is not responsible for loss of personal items, delays due to external causes (traffic, weather, decisions of authorities, etc.), or accidents resulting from natural or adventure activities (snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, etc.).

• Participants assume the risks associated with the contracted tours under their own responsibility.

• The guide or person in charge of the tour may modify itineraries for security reasons without prior notice. If the change is due to a cause attributable to Galasky, only what has been effectively provided will be charged.

5. Force Majeure

Galasky reserves the right to modify or cancel services in case of force majeure: natural disasters, health emergencies, closure of tourist sites, or any event beyond the company’s control. In such cases, an attempt will be made to reschedule the service or, if this is not possible, a partial refund will be offered based on what has been provided.

6. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

These conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ecuador. In case of controversy, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the ordinary courts of the city of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, Galápagos Islands.
