Description:

We designed this trip for adventurous spirits looking for real action, harmony with nature, connecting with like-minded people and, above all, having a great time. Forget rigid itineraries and hidden costs: here, we provide you with full snorkeling and wetsuit gear from day one, so your only concern is enjoying the water. You'll stay in comfortable, clean hotels with local charm, always accompanied by a local guide who knows all the archipelago's secrets.

We island-hop to give you the real contrast of the Galapagos: from the pure adrenaline of swimming with sharks in the open sea, to total disconnection on black sand beaches and pirate stories on remote Floreana.

This tour is about exploring the islands from within and ending the day sharing craft beers with your group by the sea. If you're looking for an authentic, accessible, and memorable trip, this adventure is for you.  Don't think twice, join the group!

Itinerary:

DAY 1 · Welcome to Galapagos! First Dip at Tijeretas

The journey begins in San Cristóbal. Your certified guide will meet you to take you to the hotel to drop off your backpacks and recharge with a delicious local lunch. To start with a bang, we'll visit the Interpretation Center: a strategic stop to learn about the islands' history and grasp the paradise you're about to explore in the coming days. From there, straight into the water at Tijeretas.

This will be your first snorkel of the trip, and the welcome couldn't be better: here you'll swim alongside playful sea lions, turtles, and a festival of tropical fish. In the late afternoon, we'll return to the hotel to review the next day's details and preparations together. The evening is free for dinner in town; your guide will give you the best tips on where to eat well and affordably. As the sun sets, stroll along the boardwalk.

You'll see sea lions taking over benches and docks, resting peacefully in the middle of town. It's the first mandatory photo of the trip!

Activities: hiking, wildlife watching, snorkeling.
Highlights: San Cristóbal, Tijeretas Beach, San Cristóbal Gianni Arismendy Environmental Interpretation Center

Today, you decide what kind of experience you want to have. Choose your ideal excursion when booking:

Option 1 – Isla Lobos and Playa Ochoa (For wildlife and beach lovers): We sail 30 minutes to Isla Lobos, home to a large colony of sea lions. We put on our shoes for a walk where you'll see iconic blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds just inches away. Then, we dive in to explore the seabed and finish by relaxing on the white sand of Playa Ochoa.

Option 2 – León Dormido / Kicker Rock (For adrenaline junkies and open-water underwater exploration): If you're a good swimmer and seeking thrills, this is for you. We sail 45 minutes to “Kicker Rock,” this impressive giant rock in the middle of the ocean. We'll cross the channel snorkeling in open water to look for what everyone wants to see: hammerhead sharks, eagle rays, and sea turtles. To wind down, we stop at a pristine beach to rest before returning to port. Diving is possible if you are certified.

Activities: snorkeling, wildlife watching, beach, hiking.
Highlights: San Cristóbal, El León Dormido, Isla Lobos, Playa Ochoa.

Early breakfast and straight to the pier for a two-and-a-half-hour boat ride. Floreana is a trip back in time: with fewer than 150 inhabitants, it's a place with no ATMs and not easily accessible, so it still retains its pristine and authentic essence.

The first stop is the Asilo de la Paz (Peace Asylum). Beyond the pirate caves, the great value of this place is that it houses the island's only freshwater source, the reason why all human history in the Galapagos began here. We'll walk among giant kapok trees and learn about the myths of the Baroness and the mysterious poisonings of the 1930s.

After lunch, the plan is flexible: you can join the group for snorkeling at La Lobería beach, walk to a nearby small lagoon to see flamingos, or simply relax on the black sand beach.

Fun fact: Did you know there's a Ron Howard movie called Eden inspired precisely by the mysteries and unique human history of this island?

Activities: snorkeling, hiking, wildlife watching, Galapagos stories.
Highlights: Floreana, La Lobería, Flamingo Lagoon, Asilo de la Paz.

In the morning, we sail to Isabela (approx. 1h 40 min), an island with a spectacular and relaxed beach atmosphere.

In the afternoon, we explore Islote Tintoreras, a sanctuary of porous volcanic rock. Here you'll see everything: Galapagos penguins (yes, penguins in Ecuador!), marine iguanas basking in the sun, and white-tip reef sharks ("tintoreras") resting in clear lava channels.

Alternative excursion: Los Túneles de Cabo Rosa, the snorkeling paradise: This place is considered by local experts to be the best snorkeling spot on all of Isabela Island. We travel to a labyrinth of lava arches that block open ocean currents. With its ultra-calm and warm waters, it's the only place on the itinerary where you're almost guaranteed to see seahorses clinging to mangrove roots, boobies, golden rays, giant turtles, sea lions, reef sharks, and a wide variety of tropical fish. As it's a restricted access site by the National Park, spots are very limited and advance booking is required.   (This tour has an additional cost of USD 100).

The evening is free in Isabela to find a beachfront bar with your travel companions.

Activities: snorkeling, hiking, wildlife watchingHighlights: Isabela, Cabo Rosa, Islote Tintoreras

Today we swap fins for hiking boots. We head early to the highlands of Isabela for a 16 km (round trip) hike to Sierra Negra Volcano. We'll walk on basalt and sulfur ground until we reach the main viewpoint, where you'll contemplate an imposing 10-kilometer-diameter sea of black lava. The world's second-largest active caldera.

On the way down, we stop at a local farm for an authentic farm-to-table lunch (perfect after the hike) and make a stop at a pink flamingo lagoon.

During the hike, we recommend keeping an eye on the trees for the vermilion flycatcher, a bright red bird that lives in this area and is a true spectacle.

Activities: hiking, volcanic landscape observation, visit to an agricultural farm.
Highlights: Sierra Negra Volcano, Isabela, Pink Flamingo Lagoon

We conclude the trip's adventures in the Santa Cruz highlands. We head straight to the humid forest to see the famous Galapagos giant tortoises in their natural state. It's incredible to see the size of these animals walking freely just a few meters from you. We'll also explore an impressive underground lava tunnel.   To recharge, we'll have a group lunch at a beautiful local hacienda.

In the afternoon, we end the day on a high note by visiting the spectacular Tortuga Bay beach. To get there, we'll walk a 3 km trail among gigantic endemic cacti (Opuntia), a landscape that seems out of this world. Upon arrival, you'll find a beautiful white sand beach and a calm lagoon surrounded by mangroves.

It's the perfect moment to share trip photos, laugh about snorkeling anecdotes, plan the last night out in Puerto Ayora, and toast to this unique and unforgettable life experience.

Activities: Giant tortoise observation, lava tunnel exploration, and picnic lunch.
Highlights: Santa Cruz Highlands, Puerto Ayora.

Today the journey comes to an end, but I assure you, you'll leave with a completely different perspective. Depending on your flight time, you'll have the morning free in Puerto Ayora for a last walk along the pier, last-minute souvenir shopping, or saying goodbye to the sea lions by the fish market.

We'll meet for the transfer to Baltra airport, crossing the island one last time. We'll say goodbye at the airport, with a gallery full of photos ready for the WhatsApp group and the certainty of having experienced the Galapagos in the most authentic and fun way possible. Have a good trip back!
